Classes

RVP~1875 offers classes for those who want to learn the techniques & tools of the trade, as well more about wood & the history of the furniture trade in the setting of a working historical shop. Students build & take home one of three pieces, such as a bench, bookcase, or trunk from the RVP~1875 signature line, which is based on rural utilitarian furniture made in Iowa in the 1870's.

Beginner's Weekend Workshops for 2011
        January 28, 29 & 30                        March 4, 5 & 6
        September 23, 24 & 25                    November 11, 12 & 13

Advanced Workshops for 2011
        March 25, 26 & 27  

Cost for the Beginner's Class is $250 (including all materials), and cost for the Advanced Class is $300 (including all materials)  Workshops run from 1-9pm on Friday, 9-5pm on Saturday & 9-4pm on Sunday.    

Additional classes, for groups of 5-8 as scheduling allows, are also available.
