Applying Finishes

We spend hours planing and scraping each piece before applying the finish. Our dyes are water based, unlike modern oil-based stains. Our historic recipes, cooked up right on the stove top, use natural ingredients such as walnuts, raspberries, and onion peels to create the color in our dyes.
